Fire Fighters Visit St Anne's

Fire Fighters Visit St Anne's

6 October 2014

As part of our 'Keeping Safe' curriculum firemen from Blackley Fire Station came to talk to KS2 children about the Treacle Initiative - keeping safe during Halloween and Bonfire Night. Some of the things we learnt are:-

Keep all fireworks in a tin, not a cardboard or wooden box.

Attend organised events.

Never hold a firework, even if you think it has gone out .

Stay with an adult - always make sure they know where you are.

Then they dressed Miss Whitehead up as a fire officer to demonstarte how their outfits are designed to protect them from fire. We had lots of questions to ask them!
