Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations Friday 15th June - pictures to follow. Thank you to everyone who helped to make today’s celebrations such a memorable event. Thank you to all the ’Duck Ladies’ for their hard work and fundraising. Also, for thinking ’outside the box when planning activities and games. I am sure all those ducks will be happy in their new homes! We were very lucky to receive support from Manchester Council, who provided the PTA with a £200 grant towards food. We also received food donations from Sainburys (Middleton Rd) and M&S (Fort) The children have asked me to pass on a special thanks to Loretta Rae, our local ice cream lady, who provided ice creams for all of our children and many of the staff! As usual we were supported by parents and the PTA who helped prepare the food and run the afternoon events. We also receieved a special visit from our Queen for the Day, Mrs Curley. Mrs Curley worked hard booking perfomances, taking money etc. It was lovely to see her enjoying her special afternoon! I have received very positive feedback from the children regarding the Circus Skills performer and the Balloon Lady (who was very busy with swords, crowns and an array of animals) and I am sure the children would love a return visit! Also thank you to our wonderful dancers who kept us entertained during the tea party.
