Purple class had such a lovely time on Thursday showing our parents how we learn stories in reception. We verbally retell the story and this helps us to remember it really well and it also helps us to write about it.

Reception visited Church today to see the display they created.

The children have been busy colouring in their name cards and flowers, that linked to an Indian Proverb, “All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today”.

Green Class were learning to cross the road safely on Thursday.

We now know to STOP LOOK & LISTEN!

During World Religion Week, Elmer’s learnt all about Sikhism. We were very lucky to have members of Nishan’s family come to talk to us and tell us all about their religion. Nishan’s mum made a PowerPoint and brought objects to talk about while Nishan and his sister gave us a demonstration.…

To help Reception get ready for moving into Year 1 we have doing PE lessons in the hall. The children have enjoyed experimenting with different ways of jumping off a bench and doing forwards rolls.

Reception and Nursery had a wonderful time today! All the children enjoyed a range of activities and many needed a quick nap on the way home! All staff were very proud of the children’s wonderful behaviour. 

As part of Drug Safety Week Reception have been looking at safety in the home. Elmer’s read Tiger’s Home to discover dangerous substances that can be found in the kitchen or bathroom.

Reception went for a walk around Crumpsall Park this week to look for new life. We found lots of flowers, plants, blossom and a birds nest.

Please ask your child about any new life they have seen at home as we move into Spring and we carry on talking about The Resurrection.

On St. George's Day, Thursday 23rd April, Reception leant about St. George and made dragon which are now all around the Reception Class as we have been learning about dragons this term.
