We were all really excited to come back to school and see what everybody had been up to and start all of our new topics!

Monday is swimming day. It was clear that lots of children had been swimming over half term as the swimming instructors were impressed with our progress.

On Tuesday, we had a surprise visit from Explore Learning (Miss Whitehead wrote it on the wrong date in her diary! Silly.) We were all quick to change our plans and had a great morning. We all became detectives for our literacy session where we focused on adverbial phrases. As we were all so well behaved and worked extremely hard we were given lizard cards!

On Wednesday afternoon, year 5 invaded our classroom. We were all really shocked and perplexed by how they were behaving. Once they left, we discussed how we felt during their invasion, then Miss Whitehead told us it was all to do with our history topic on the Romans, as the Romans invaded lots of different countries. We also spoke about countries that have been invaded more recently. We already love learning about the Romans and are looking forward to all the history lessons to come.
