On Monday, we were lucky enough to go on a visit to John Ryland's LIbrary, which was organised for us by Our lady's High School. It is an impressive building that is very old. While we were there, we learnt how to make a book and each of us got to make our very own.

We picked different designs for the front and back covers and different colours for the front and back pages. We had to do lots of sticking to make sure the book would not fall apart, we also had to make sure we didn't use too much glue so that the paper didn't rip. Later, we used cloth to create the spine of the book. Once we put all of the parts together, each of us had our own unique, handmade books! Some of us are going to use them for Christmas lists, diaries and even give them as Christmas presents. Leanne who taught us how to make the books gave her one to Miss  Whitehead, who felt very lucky to given one of our special books.
