This morning, 4E kindly invited 4W to their Skype session with John Bercow. John is the speaker of the House of Commons and loves his job. We asked him questions about his job and for his opinions on things happening around the world.
He told us that he voted to remain in the EU, but believes we should follow the decision of the people. If he didn't work in parliament he said that he would have liked to have been a lawyer, but as a child he wanted to be a professional tennis player.
Mr Bercow told us that he has been to Manchester many times for work and also to watch football matches!
He encouraged us all to take part in debate and told us that any of us could become a speaker or member of parliament!
Amber O'Toole thought it was kind of him to answer the children's questions in such detail. Ruby thinks he is very intelligent with an important job.
