What a great day we had at Manchester museum! When we arrived we were given time to look around the museum before our Ancient Egyptian lesson. We loved the living things section where we saw real life frogs, snakes and even a lizard catching a cricket. It was also really interesting to see different animal and human skeletons!
After lunch, we met Amy who lead the lesson. She was really impressed with all of our knowledge and thought we had been working hard in school. To start, she set us the task of building a pyramid out of foam, with some good team work we built ours in 2:04 minutes. We were pretty proud of ourselves!
Later in the lesson, we all became Egyptologists and examined real Ancient Egyptian aretefacts. We couldn't believe that they had real mummys in the museum! We looked closely at a female mummy. They had discovered that her brain was taken out through her eyes instead of her nose, but nobody is sure why. Still pretty disgusting though.
