The children in Year 3 have been busy this weekend (and indeed this half term!), continuing their journey on the Sacramental Programme.

We really enjoyed our 'Stomp' day on Monday. A dancer (who used to dance with the Stomp Dance Group!) came to teach us about dancing, whilst making our own music and rhythms, using our bodies and nothing else!

We learnt a stamping, clapping, jumping and turning dance which was amazing!

In Year 3 we have been learning all about rocks and soils! 

We learnt about the amazing Jurassic coast on the south coast of England, where you can take a walk through 250 million years!

In Year 3 we have been investigating how craters in the moon are formed by meteorites. We used marbles and flour to investigate whether larger craters would be formed if we dropped the marble from a lower or higher height.

In Year 3 we have been learning to name and locate some bones in our bodies. We enjoyed putting our skeletons together. We also carried out an investigation to explore how our bodies would behave without skeletons!

We loved our science lesson this week! We had some owl pellets, which are pellets of regurgitated food which owls can't digest. We carefully broke them up using sticks and discovered lots of different tiny bones inside them. We washed the bones and then tried to identify which animals they had…
